Our CEO
The company's CEO and Operating Director is Adrian
Thomas. He was born in England and graduated with B.Sc (Hons) from the
University of Southampton in 1969 prior to transferring to Australia. In
Australia he has had extensive experience with a number of multinational
companies (including Unilever, Shell and Wacker Chemicals) in a range of
manufacturing, sales and marketing positions at management levels.
Adrian's professional memberships include:
- Royal Society of Chemistry, (formerly Royal
Institute of Chemistry), United Kingdom.
Adrian is a Chartered Chemist and has been an
Associate of the Royal Society of Chemistry, (formerly Royal Institute of
Chemistry), since 1974. A key feature of a profession in the United Kingdom is
self-regulation by the members of that profession. The Royal Society of
Chemistry (RSC) was established in accordance with its Royal Charter, is the
professional body for chemical scientists in the UK. In joining the RSC,
members undertake obligations both to the RSC and to the public at large.
Members' obligations are set out in a Code of
Conduct, which gives guidance on professional practice.

- Royal Australian Chemical Institute
Adrian is a Chartered Chemist and has been a member
of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute since 1970. The Royal Australian
Chemical Institute is the professional body for chemical scientists in
Australia. He has been active in a number of roles within the Institute and
currently holds the positions of:
Treasurer, Victorian Occupational Health
and Safety Group.
Treasurer, "Chemistry in Australia" Professional
Journal.
- Surface Coatings Association Australia
Adrian has been a member of the Surface Coatings
Association Australia (formerly Oil and Colour Chemists' Association
Australia) since 1972. In 1998 he was awarded a certificate for 25 Year
Membership of the association. Surface Coatings Association Australia is the
professional body for individuals involved in the Surface Coatings and related
industries (such as the printing ink industry) in Australia. He has been
active within the Institute and contributed to 2 chapters in the 3rd edition
of the Surface Coatings Textbook published by the association. In 2001 he was
awarded the International Professional Grade of Fellow Surface Coatings
Technology. He is currently actively assisting the association in producing
the Raw Materials Index 8th edition.
- Australian Marketing Institute
Adrian has been a member of the Australian Marketing
Institute since 1973. The Australian Marketing Institute is the professional
body for individuals involved in the sales and marketing professions in
Australia. In 1977 he successfully completed entrance by examination to
Associate Fellow (Diploma), Australian Marketing Institute. In 1997 he was
awarded with membership as Fellow Australian Marketing Institute.
- Australasian Corrosion Association
Adrian has been a member of the Australasian
Corrosion Association Marketing Institute since 1987. The Australasian
Corrosion Association is the association for companies and individuals
involved in the detection and prevention of corrosions on substrates such as
metals, concrete etc. in Australia and New Zealand.
- Concrete Institute of Australia
Adrian has been a member of the Concrete Institute of
Australia since 2000. The Concrete Institute of Australia is the institute
representing companies and individuals involved in the production, use and
protection of concrete in Australia.
Extracurricular activities:
In his spare time Adrian is the
secretary of his local chapter of Neighbourhood Watch as well as enjoying social
activities with his wife and two daughters.
